The service is available to you if you are the blind, partially sighted or have a permanent or temporary condition that causes reading difficulties. It is free, and there are no postal charges if you are registered blind or your standard of close-up vision, with spectacles, is N12 or less, thanks to the Royal Mail.
We will provide you with a portable player about the size of a transistor radio, on free loan. The recordings themselves will be sent on a memory stick that plugs into the player and is returned using the re-usable plastic envelope that it came in. We record Newsweek every Wednesday evening, so sticks should be returned in time for this. When a recording of Cheshire Life or This England is available, there will be two sticks in your envelope.
To register, please contact us through the Contact Us page or ring one of the numbers on that page.
